TO RELOCATE TO LOS ANGELES


SEATTLE, WA, April 8, 1996:  After consistently being ranked among the top
publishers in the 16-bit video game software industry, Square Soft, Inc. has
set its sights even higher. On April 8 the company announced it would move
its U.S. headquarters to Los Angeles, California. The move is designed to
allow the company to take full advantage of the synergy--art, game design and
programming--between Hollywood and Silicon Valley.

Based in Redmond, Washington since its inception in 1989, Square Soft, Inc.
has gained favor with the nation's video game enthusiasts by marketing
intricate and challenging role playing games (RPGs), including several
installments of the highly regarded, award winning Final Fantasy series,
Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore.
